This monocultivar extra virgin olive oil is produced in the picturesque Hyblean mountains of the Ragusa province in southern Sicily, where the groves sit on ancient terraces carved into the hillside. The Barbuto oil is made by cold pressing by mechanical means on the same day the hand picked famous ‘Tonda Iblea’ olive to create this monocultivar oil. The result is a sweet oil with a delicate fragrance of fresh tomato leaves with a hints of almonds that stimulates your sensory perceptions to the full. Not to mention the slightly peppery kick as an after taste.
