This monocultivar extra virgin olive oil is produced in the picturesque Hyblean mountains of the Ragusa province in southern Sicily, where the groves sit on ancient terraces carved into the hillside. The Barbuto oil is made by cold pressing by mechanical means on the same day the hand picked ‘nocellara del belice’ olive to create this monocultivar oil. The result is an intense fruity oil with a hints of artichoke that stimulates your sensory perceptions to the full. Ideal to use with salads or raw vegetable. its perfect also to drizzle upon salmon carpaccio, white meat and grilled fish.
